Zoom-with-an-Expert
Zoom-with-an-Expert (Zoom-WE) is a CVG program launched in 2021 that brings pioneers in genome sciences from across the world to connect with CVG trainees in a virtual discussion. Each visiting expert sets aside 1.5 to 2 hours to discuss their research and recent papers, and answer trainee questions about career development, next frontiers in the field, DEI in science, mentoring and training, etc. The CVG Zoom-WE events are hosted by CVG Distinguished Scholars. The session may also feature a panel of Cornell faculty to enhance the discussion with their own expertise. The primary goal of Zoom-WE is to facilitate unique interactions between CVG trainees and leading experts.
